Best known for its athletic footwear, Filling Pieces as led by designer Guillaume Philibert tries some heels on for size with sandal featuring a Carabiner heel.
The use of the Carabiner reflects an affinity in fashion these day with industrial-rooted design showing up on everything from key rings to jewelry clasps, a trend that perhaps signals a wish to return to simpler times when humans ruled the machine rather than be ruled by it as seems to be the case since the advent of computer screens.
The shoe will make its official debut at the label’s Paris presentation, held from June 20-25, 2019 at 14 Rue De La Corderie.
