Italian luxury label Gucci has released a lookbook for the label’s fall ’19 collection that examines the evolution of ready-to-wear fashion from the ’50s through the ’80s. Titled “Prêt-à-Porter,” the effort was lensed by photographer Glen Luchford.
The campaign was conceived by Gucci head creative Alessandro Michele, who took inspiration from old-school fashion coverage of designers and models as they perform the “seasonal ritual of fittings, catwalk display, and magazine shoots, with the attendant backstage frenzy and front row parade.”
The spot includes Gucci’s new, classic-inspired Ultrapace sneaker, which made its debut on the labels fall ’18 runway. show, is also featured in the campaign.
