Harlem’s own A$AP Rocky drops a visual for “Babushka Boy,” his first new music since being released from prison in Sweden earlier this month. The song was first introduced during Rocky’s “Injured Generation Tour,” which kicked off in January 2019.
Directed by British-filmmaker Nadia Lee Cohen, the visual shows Rocky along with his friends A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast and Schoolboy Q robbing a bank. The visual closes with a shoot out that doesn’t end well for the police.
More than just another bank heist, the visual is a surreal take on living a life of crime with most of the participants wearing exaggerated masks and outfits that appeared to be pulled straight from the pages of a combo super hero/horror comic book.
