Brooklyn-based label Jahnkoy as directed by LVMH Prize finalist Maria Kazacova again partnered with Puma for a New York Fashion Week presentation emphasizing the power of global unity. Titled “Messenjah,” the collection highlighted Kazacova’s distinct design aesthetic, injecting modern garments with a tribal and utterly human foundation.
Showing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Kazacova created a square themed presentation that ended with a dance performance. Instead of the usual wave, Kazacova took the stage following the presentation and shared her own immigration story. She closed by asking attendees to join hands and focus on being unified.
