Looking to stay on top of the latest fashion trends, Mattel’s Barbie jumps on the streetwear look with a collection of dolls inspired by the sporty, logo-heavy, sleek looks the genre is known for.
Titled BMR1959 and designed by Carlyle Nuera (who also created stylist Marni Senofonte‘s Lemonade-inspired dolls), the collection features six multiracial, male and female dolls who are packaged in a cool shoe box detailed with a sketch of the doll.
The embrace of the laid back cool of street style appears to be having a moment in doll world with the BMR1959 casule following closely on the heels of Barbie’s collaborative styling contest with streetwear label/retailer Kith, as well as Stray Rats now sold out Rat Dolls, designed by Ava Nirui and Alex Lee and LOL Surprise‘s very dope female DJ doll duo.
Priced at $29.99 each, all six dolls are now available barbie.mattel.com.
