City Girls member JT (real name Jatavia Johnson) announced today (October 8, 2019) that her prison sentence is officially over. Yung Miami (real name Caresha Brownlee) announced the news on Instagram where she wrote, ” YOU BITCHES IN TROUBLE!! MY BITCH HOME!”
On her own feed, JT switched up the #FREEJT hashtag with a caption reading, “You Bitches Could Neva 10p est #JTFree”
The happy news comes alongside plans for a new City Girls single titled “First Day Out” that will drop tonight at 10:00 PM EST.
JT began to serve a 24-month federal prison sentence related to credit card fraud shortly after the group was revealed as featured on Drake’s smash single “In My Feelings” released on June 29, 2018.
While there were ongoing rumors of JT receiving an early release, in June 2018, Quality Control CEO and City Girls management boss Pierre “Pee” Thomas stated on a red carpet interview that JT would be released within the next 90 days.
