Rap music festival Rolling Loud made its New York debut at City Field in Queens on Saturday (October 12, 2019) with headliners Travis Scott, Wu Tang Clan, Lil Uzi Vert and A$AP Rocky.
While Rolling Loud rightfully has caught heat in the past for a paucity of female performers, it continues to step up its game with the New York event including performances by Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, Melii, Young MA, Danileigh, Kash Doll, Maliibu Miitch, Mariah Lynn, Chynna, Blaatina, Young MA, Rico Nasty, Coi Leray, Bri Steves, Baby Goth and Chinese Kitty.
While none of the women were booked as headliners, the increase in their numbers is a reflection of the power of their following and the growing embrace of female rappers by a demographically diverse fan base.
Our on-site photographer, Christopher Saint-Armand, captured some performers (Baby Goth, Coi Leray, Blaatina, Mariah Lynn and Rico Nasty) as well as the cool attendees who did not shy away from striking a pose for us.
