Only Rihanna has the power to disrupt Vogue editor Anna Wintour‘s proven formulas. Flipping the script on the “Go Ask Anna” YouTube series themed on Wintour answering queries from fashion lovers, the latest episode instead has Rihanna and Wintour taking turns asking each other questions.
Rihanna started things off by asking Wintour how long she’s had her signature bob (so long she can’t remember). She also asked whether Wintour missed her at this year’s Met Gala. Wintour replied, “Of course we missed you, Rihanna. The whole world missed you. It was a lot less camp without. You promised me you’d be back next year and when we’re off camera I’m going to tell you the theme because you’re going to love it.”
When asked about her favorite Rihanna look, Wintour chose her hand-beaded Maison Margiela dress for the 2018 Met Gala and her eye-popping Guo Pei yellow gown for the 2015 event.
Note, Wintour drives though she does so “exceptionally badly” and she doesn’t cook.
Jumping right into the fire, Wintour kicked off her end of the exchange by asking Rihanna if she’s pregnant. A bemused Rihanna waved off the question by stating haltingly, “I don’t think I’m bossed up like that, but I don’t know, god’s plan. I look forward to all the pregnancy rumors after this interview.”
When asked who she would choose to design her wedding dress should she marry, Rihanna envisioned a collaboration between herself and John Galliano.
As for the Navy’s No. 1 question aka where is #R9??, Rihanna kept her ardent fan base guessing by replying, “Pending.”
