Fresh off a historic Grammy win, Jamaican-born Koffee (real name Mikayla Simpson) paid a visit to NPR’s “Tiny Desk” where she performed three songs included on her “Rapture” EP: “Raggamuffin” by Selah Sue, followed by “Rapture” and Toast.” The promising young star finished with “W,” a new single featuring Gunna.
Commenting on her backing band’s array of nationalities, Koffee stated, “It’s a pleasure for me to see people from multiple, different cultural backgrounds come together to make one beautiful thing so I give thinks for everybody here.”
