Underpinned by a love for disco-era glamour New York-based Area as led Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Panszczyk leaned into a more sculptural approach for a New York Fashion Week runway presentation held at The Africa Center in Manhattan.
Area’s glam-infused silhouettes were additionally lifted through a collaboration with conceptual design label myreality (led by Crosby Studio’s Tyler Billinger and Harry Nuriev), which provided limited edition objet d’art pieces (including a miniature crystal folding chair) repurposed from textiles in Area’s studio.
Reflecting the label’s affinity with Africa, all sales from the Area and myreality items will be donated to the Africa Center.
