Tokyo-based Ambush as led by Yoon Ahn has linked with Bait to create an Astro Boy figurine celebrating the enduring character’s birthday on April 7th. Adding streetwear flair, Ambush’s version of the emotional android sports a jumpsuit adorned with the label’s signature “A” logo on the front and the Ambush logo on the back.

Offered in a total of 55 units per color, the figurine wearing the black jumpsuit is detailed with silver hair and shoes while the one wearing the white jumpsuit sports gold hair and gold shoes.

Astro Boy, who in Japan is known as Tetsuwan Atomu or Mighty Atom, is the android star of a manga series written by Osamu Tezuka. First published in 1952, it ran though 1968 and is considered one of top 10 most popular manga series of all time. The series was set in the future and in the story, Astro Boy’s birthday was set as April 7, 2003.

Priced at approximately $400, the Ambush Astro Boy figure will launch on April 7, 2020 in Tokyo at Ambush Workship, Workshop 2 and the label’s online store, ambushdesign.com.
