Yale professor Dr. Laurie Santos has created a big stir with a widely popular class called “The Science of Well Being,” affectionately referred to as the happiness class. According to the class description, “Student will engage in a series of challenges designed to increase your own happiness and build more productive habits.” In light of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, Yale has opened the class up to the public for free through coursera.org.
At the same time, Santos has been publishing a podcast called “The Happiness Lab” since July 2019. Since mid-March, she’s focused on the impact of Covid-19 on mental health with four new episodes each of which feature a guest with expertise on reducing stress and increasing happiness.
