Kanye West and Kid Cudi have previewed a trailer for “KIDS SEE GHOSTS,” an animated series directed by Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami.
The stars animated characters Kanye Bear voiced by West and Kid Fox voiced by Cudi (Scott Mescudi). Sound for series is credited to William J. Sullivan and Cudi.
Design direction for the series takes inspiration from West and Cudi’s 2018 Kids See Ghost album whose art was designed by Murakami.
The Kanye Bear has been a motif for the rapper and entrepreneur since it was used as the art for his 2004 debut album The College Drop Out. The bear was also the star of his 2005 Late Registration album as well as his 2007 Graduation album, which was also designed by Murakami.
In addition to the “KIDS SEE GHOST” news, today West also announced a 10-year partnership with his Yeezy brand and Gap.
As of now there’s no launching date for the effort other than “coming soon.” Check out the trailer for “KIDS SEE GHOSTS” below.
