New York native Leaf has dropped “Is It You,” a sweet and sultry r&b track accompanied by a visual featuring a cameo by Dave East. The song is all about the search for that special someone as played out against the backdrop of a city filled with potential.
Commenting on the song, Leaf told us, “The song is a fun sexy anthem about finding the right bae. I believe in manifesting your best life and since I’m looking for my dream bae I wanted to talk about it. He’ll listen to the song and slide in my DMs quarantine style since we’re all on lock down.
“For the video, it was really important for me to show my New York City roots. Now that everyone’s at home, it’s giving New York summer nostalgia. I think everyone who’s single is feeling a lil’ lonely and in need of a bae right now. So this song should help ease the anxiety of FOMO and help people manifest their dream bae.
