July 16, 2020 update: In a shocking update, multiple outlets are reporting Megan thee Stallion was shot by Tory Lanez while she was attempting to leave his car following a party on Sunday.
According to Page Six, “Tory fired the shots from within the vehicle while Megan was outside trying to leave. There is video and the police are investigating. This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman.”
The incident began with a fight following a Hollywood Hills party Megan had attended with her best friend, Kelsey Nicole, and Lanez. All three were in a chauffeured vehicle preparing to leave and at some point both Megan and Nicole attempted to leave the vehicle and Lanez allegedly opened fire and hit Megan twice in the foot.
According to TMZ, Lanez’s sources are saying there are mitigating circumstances. It’s likely Lanez will claim it was an accidental shooting.
No witnesses involved are cooperating which is probably why Megan initially claimed she cut her foot on glass.
July 15, 2020 update: Megan thee Stallion drops some shocking news about the shooting incident that took place with Tory Lanez during a party in Hollywood Hills early Sunday morning (July 12, 2020).
Megan clarified that she wasn’t arrested or taken to the hospital because of a foot wound as has been reported. According to her post, “I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.
In response to accusations she shot Megan, her bestie, Kelsey Nicole, wrote, “I want to clear up the rumors that I shot Megan. I WASN’T the one with the gun and would never do something like that. However I was present.”
Megan’s statement is at odds with reporting from TMZ, which was told by the Los Angeles Police Department that Megan never said she was the victim of a crime. The LAPD spokesperson stated, “At the time Megan Thee [Stallion] was with police she did not report that she was the victim of any crime. And the LAPD has not received any additional information at this time.”

Rapper Tory Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) was arrested by Los Angeles police officers Sunday morning (July 12, 2020) for driving with a concealed gun, an illegal act in California.
The kicker? Houston rapper Megan thee Stallion (real name Megan Pete) was in the car with Lanez and while she wasn’t arrested, she ended up being transported to the hospital for a laceration on her foot from broken glass on the floor of the Lanez’ vehicle.
The trouble for the duo began at a party in Hollywood Hills where calls were made to the police at 4:30 AM after a disturbance outside the home that ended with shots fired in the air.
Tory and Megan left the scene but were pulled over by police who were provided with identifying details of his car by a coughsnitchcough party goer. Following Lanez’s arrest, four shell casings were found at the home.
It’s not clear if Lanez and Megan are dating or just friends who love to party. Back in January at the Roc Nation brunch, Lanez posted an image of himself with the Houston Hottie and in the caption wrote, “At this moment me and [Megan] realized we were evil twins.
While Lanez and Megan had been spotted swimming with Kylie Jenner in her pool earlier in the evening, the house where the shooting took place was several miles away.
