Houston rapper Megan thee Stallion took took Instagram Live last night (August 20, 2020) where she stated unequivocally that rapper Tory Lanez shot her in an incident that took place early in the morning on July 12th in Los Angeles.
Clearly angry over rumors that have surfaced since the event, she implied Lanez’s and his publicist’s lies forced her to go public. She explained, “Yes, this n*gga Tory shot me. You shot me! And you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs, lying and sh*t. Stop lying. Why lie? I tried to keep the situation of the internet but you dragging it. You really f**king dragging it”
Megan went on to deny that she ever hit Lanez, a story that’s been repeated by several bloggers including Hollywood Unlocked, DJ Akademiks and Adam22. She also denied the fighting was caused by Lanez flirting with Kylie Jenner, whose home that were at earlier in the evening.
Until the last night, Megan has said she was shot, but had chosen not to identify her shooter. The statement on Lanez is a follow up to an Instagram post yesterday showing her injured foot in response to chatter she hadn’t actually been shot.
Addressing false rumors that have circulated since the event, she explained there were four people in the car at the time of the event, herself and her “home girl” (friend Kelsey Nicole who she’s no longer friends with) and Lanez and his security guard.
Megan said she was in the front seat and Lanez was in the back of the car. In the midst of a heated argument, she said she left the vehicle and was shot by Lanez as she walked away.
The incident didn’t take place outside of Jenner’s house as some have claimed, but rather was at a location about five minutes away from where she was staying.
As to why reports surfaced saying her injury was the result of stepping on broken glass, Megan said at the scene of the crime she initially explained her injury was from glass because she was afraid the police would start shooting up the car and her if they knew Lanez was in possession of a gun.
