California-based Stüssy joins forces with German comfort brand Birkenstock on a Boston clog collaboration. The classic silhouette is offered in a debossed suede, which mimics the look and feel of corduroy.
Birkenstock’s Boston was first introduced in 1979 as an extension of the brand’s open toe Arizona and Madrid sandals providing fans of the brand a cool weather option.
While still a mainstay among comfort shoe lovers who appreciate the brand’s comfort and laid back appeal, as of late the Boston has become a popular silhouette among male streetwear aficionados.
The collaboration is housed under Birkenstock’s 1774 division, which acts as an umbrella for special projects and inspired by the shoe company’s founding year. Headquartered in Paris, 1774 functions as an incubator for developing innovation and new partnerships.
Available in either Bone and Anthracite, Stüssy and Birkenstock’s Boston slides will be available on August 21, 2020 on Stussy.com and 1774.com.
