A$AP Mob Members Debate Whether Ferg Is Still A Member (For Now He Is)

Members of Harlem-based creative collective A$AP Mob have been in turmoil over the last few days with an internal debate over A$AP Ferg‘s membership that’s spilled out onto social media.

THE TRAP LORD WAS NOT AND WILL NOT BE KICKED OUT OF A$AP FALSE NEWS EVERYBODY GO HOME NOW #ASAPFOREVER

— EL SUCIO GUAPO (@ASVPNVST) September 2, 2020

According to A$AP Nast, as of today (September 2, 2020), Ferg is still a member of the crew, a reversal from announcement made by two different members two days ago.

The drama was kicked off by Mob co-founder ASAP Illz who announced on Instagram Stories on Tuesday (September 1, 2020) that Ferg had been kicked out of the collective for stealing ideas. In one post, Illz wrote, “Ferg ain’t ASAP NO MORE sorry guys. That n*gga burnt out , songs dumb trash mr anthem cant get right.”

Illz then published a screenshot of a DM exchange with himself and Ferg. The messages began on a chummy note with Ferg asking Illz his opinion about a song. However, things ended on an ugly note with Illz writing, “N*gga u played urself,” “F*ck off my line” and “F*ck is u textin for.”

Implying Ferg is a user, Illz then wrote, “N*ggas be your mans to try to pick your brain & steal not to be loyal and real.”

Seemingly co-signing Illz’s pronouncement, A$AP Bari wrote in an Instagram comment referencing Illz’s statement, “He said what he said.” Bari then added, “@asvpillz started ASAP If It Wasn’t Him It Wouldn’t Have Been No ASAP Mob So 🙌🏾 ASAP Illz.”

We good on this side 🙏🏾❤️

— Renell Medrano (@Renellaice) September 2, 2020

If Ferg was phased by the back and forth by his possibly former friends, he didn’t show it. On Twitter, Ferg’s photographer girlfriend Renell Medrano appeared to weigh with a tweet reading, “We good on this side.”

Within six hours of Medrano writing her post, ASAP Nast made his own decree on Twitter where he emphatically stated, “THE TRAP LORD WAS NOT AND WILL NOT BE KICKED OUT OF A$AP FALSE NEWS EVERYBODY GO HOME NOW #ASAPFOREVER.”

Expressing regret for the public back and forth, Nast added, “ITS EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING AND UNNESSARY FOR IT TO HAPPEN THE WAY IT DID BUT IT DID AND THIS WELL BE TAKEN CARE OF THE RIGHT WAY GOODNIGHT YALL”

Check out some of the A$AP Crew versus Ferg messages below.

Meanwhile, the girls are fighting!! It all started with Mob co-founder #ASAPIllz saying #ASAPFerg had been kicked out of the collective for stealing ideas. Next #ASAPBari co-signed Illz. Then, Ferg's photog beau Renell responded to the noise with a simple "We good." Not long after, #ASAPNast insisted Ferg was still in good standing. In a mood to make fun of the dust up, someone on Twitter posted an awkward moment in a #ASAPRocky and Ferg interview that perhaps points to the beginning of the end…

For fall winter 2025 KNWLS opted to forego a runwa For fall winter 2025 KNWLS opted to forego a runway show and present their collection in a styled lookbook.

Taking inspiration from a feminine Y2K aesthetic, the collection embodies designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s ability to balance sexy and cool.

In an interview with Vogue, the pair shared that they are currently working on a new design director role in Europe and have several other projects in the pipeline, including another denim project, a collaboration with a jewelry brand, and a menswear capsule for an e-commerce site.

Commenting on the lookbook styling, they shared, "Obviously in the lookbooks it's styled in a quite extreme way, but if you break it down into individual pieces, we've been thinking about merchandising and the customer more than ever before," said Arsenault. "We've seen the team in the studio wearing the pieces differently too, and we've taken that into account. It's a nice challenge to say: 'Okay, we want to make a sweatshirt, but it still has this silhouette or wash or rib detail that makes it feel really Knwls."
