Grammy Award winning rapper Cardi B has filed for divorce from Migos rapper Offset. The news was broken today by Hollywood Unlocked, a site run by Jason Lee, who’s Cardi’s gossip-world bestie, adding some weight to the veracity of the news.
It indeed appears that Cardi B filed for divorce from Offset in Fulton County, Georgia earlier today. The hearing is set for Nov 4, 2020.

According to HU, “We contacted the Fulton County superior court who confirmed that a divorce petition has been filed in Superior Court, Fulton County, Georgia by Belcalis Almanzar v. Kiari Cephus.”
The outlet described it as a contested divorce with Cardi seeking primary and legal custody of their daughter, Kulture Cephus, along with child support.
This isn’t very shocking news because celebrity is very rough on marriage anyway but also because their marriage has been plagued by rumors of Offset cheating.
In one episode that came to light in December 2019, it appeared he DMed a woman named Rachel Wattley aka Jade who at the time was in the midst of a court case involving Cardi. According to Wattley, Cardi had organized an assault on her and her sister, Sarah Wattley, while they were working at a Queens strip bar in retaliation for rumors of her sleeping with her Offset.
Cardi and Offset secretly married each other in a home ceremony in Atlanta in September 2017. In April of the following year year, Cardi confirmed she and Offset were expecting a baby girl.
Kulture was born in the evening on July 10, 2018 in an Atlanta hospital. Offset was by Cardi’s side for the birth. Kulture is Cardi’s first child and Offset’s fourth.
