The August airways were dominated by Cardi B‘s splashy reentry into the music world with “WAP,” a single featuring Megan thee Stallion that dominated charts and stirred controversy on social media for multiple weeks following the drop.
It was also a big month for Atlanta-born rapper Mulatto, who dropped her debut album, Queen of Da Souf, a 10-song effort boasting an impressive list of features including Gucci Mane, City Girls, 21 Savage, 42 Dugg, Saweetie, and Trina.
Snobette Sounds best new music by women for August 2020 includes two entries for the aforementioned Mulatto plus Cardi and Megan’s smash hit, along with music by KenTheMan, Kaash Paige, Ambre, Paloma Ford, Victoria Monét, Saweetie, India Shawn, Leikeli47, Cookiee Kawaii and Stunna Girl
