October 11, 2020 update: It appears the @HennessyA__Twitter is an imposter account, which took on the identity of Hennessy Carolina. While the images of Hennessy and Cardi are real, everything the account posted relating to their lives was made up.

Twitter sleuths have uncovered what looks like an early aughts Twitter account belonging to Cardi B‘s little sister, Hennessy Carolina. The account whose handle is @HennessyA__ was opened in December 11, 2011 with a final tweet posted on March 2012. Not long after the account was uncovered, it was hacked by someone who has promised to release DMs in exchange for 1,000 retweets.

Countering the veracity of the tweets, multiple people on Twitter have said the account is a catfish account. The view is supported by a tweet in which @HennessyA__ declares it’s her birthday on January 17th while Hennessy’s actual birthday is December 22, 1995. She also stated she lives in the DMV region (Delaware, Maryland and Virginia) and posted an image of her mother, who doesn’t resemble Cardi and Hennessy’s mother.
A prolific poster, @HennessyA__ frequently mentions her not-yet-famous sister, Cardi (real name Belcalis Almánzar), and also posted images of her. In the account heading, @HennessyA__ lists her age as 18, and describes herself as class of 2012, putting her age today as 26.
On December 25, 2011, she poked fun at her older sister for being excited about Christmas at the age of 23. The age is at odds with Wikipedia, which shows Cardi will turn 28 on October 11th. Still, there is a widely circulated graduation image (bove) of Cardi that shows she graduated in 2010, a date that matches up with her Wikipedia age.
On January 29, 2012, @HennessyA__ wrote about the death of her biological’s father from whom she appears to be estranged. In a few interviews, Cardi has said the man she calls her father is actually her stepfather though she hasn’t ever stated whether she has the same father as Hennessy.
A month later in February 2012, @HennessyA__ lamented, “First dad died then sister got prego then stayed out of school for like a month now I’m foeverr sick lls this sh*t blows!!” Cardi has said she has multiple half-siblings so it’s possible @HennessyA__ was referencing someone other than Cardi if indeed the tweets were written by the real Hennessy.
Following her Tweet about her sister being pregnant, @HennessyA__ posted an image of Cardi at a hospital in a wheelchair. The next photo she posted shows someone holding a baby with a caption reading, “As soon as I picked her up she went to sleep.”
The series of tweets have fueled speculation that Cardi had a baby prior to her daughter, Kulture Cephus, by Offset. However, two weeks prior and one week after Hennessy wrote about the baby, she posted images of Cardi whose cropped tops in both images reveal a flat stomach.
