Ariana Grande Celebrates A More Content Version Of Herself In Positions Album

Ariana Grande on Friday (October 30, 2020) dropped her sixth studio album, positions, a 14-track album in which the 27-year old chanteuse unabashedly celebrates the joy of sex, and as the title implies, in all of its very many forms.

The drop of the album was preceded by the release of the title track along with a visual (below) on October 13th, followed by “34+35” dropped the same day as the album.

If you’re wondering what exactly “34+35” is, if you add up the first and then second digit of each number, the outcome results in 69, a reference to the famed sex position.

There are just three features on the album, Doja Cat (real name Amala Dlamini) on “motive,” sauce master Ty Dolla $ign (real name Tyrone Griffin) on “safety net,” and The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) on “off the weekend,” a song themed on working through lost love.

Allegedly, the album is a celebration of Grande’s blooming relationship with 27-year-old, Los Angeles real estate agent Dalton Gomez, who she’s been dating since January 2020.

That said, Grande has always sung about her beaus and has never shied away from the topic of sex, as such one could say the album reflects those same themes as realized by a fully mature version of the talented performer who’s learned some hard lessons and has reached a place of contentment.

Grande’s Positions is available on all streaming platforms. Check out the official video for “Positions” below.
