New York-based 3.1 Philip Lim as led by designer Phillip Lim queues up a new fall 2020 collection title Live Free rooted in a wish to create a capsule of sustainable everyday wardrobe pieces.
Described as “designed to be live in,” the title of the collection reflects Lim’s own personal beliefs: “I think we are just very fortunate to be in this place at this time. I also think, obviously, in this country and in this world that not everyone is free and it may sound like a cliché but I truly believe that we are not free until everyone is free.”
Taking queues from streetwear mainstays, offerings include a parka, track jacket, coach’s jacket, woven shirt, crewneck sweatshirts, boxy t-shirts, three-quarter-length scoop tank dress, leggings, as well as a duffle and face mask.
Every piece in the collection features Fuze Biotech, a sustainably-produced, textile-enhancing technology that eradicates odor causing germs and enhances cooling and drying so that the pieces can be worn more, washed less.”
The campaign for the collection features Lim’s friends and associates like journalist Noor Tagouri, social justice activist Livia Rose Johnson, DJ and producer Donis.BK, hairstylist Masami Hosono, musician Simon Pace, and photographer Peter Ash Lee.
Priced from $30 for a face mask up to $575 for the parka, 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Live Free collection is now available on November 10th on 31philliplim.com.
