A new year and a new president not to mention the United States very first female vice president. What a difference a month makes!
January has been a major month for singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan who dropped her fourth studio album, Heaux Tales, and is very much having a moment with the album taking No. 1 on the r&b charts and also topping our list with “On It” a single featuring Ari Lennox.
It was also a noteworthy month for SZA, who’s single “Good Days” has been a streaming powerhouse, enabling it to sit pretty at No 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart with virtually no radio push by her label. Currently the lovely Solána Rowe is working on official video for the song.
In addition to Sullivan and Lennox, Snobette Sounds best new music by women in January includes singles by or featuring Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Megan thee Stallion, Ashanti, Asiahn, Aáyanna, Flo Milli, Mulatto, Rubi Rose, Alycia Bella, Ebhoni, Kara Marni, Kelese, Dana Williams, Coi Leray, Alana Soul and Zanillya.
