SZA took to TikTok this week where she again teased a new single from her upcoming, sophomore album. While the titled was rumored to be “Bloodstain,” her fans have dubbed it “Shirt” for the song’s chorus: “Bloodstain on my shirt; New bitch on my nerve; Old n*gga got curved; Going back on my word; Damn, bitch, you like.”

The song was first teased by SZA (real name Solána Rowe) in October 2020 on her Instagram account, giving a nod to producer Darkchild (real name Rodney Jerkins) with a tag.

The song went viral on TikTok on December 30, 2020 when user @bgottfanns uploaded a choreographed dance routine using the snippet. SZA performed the same routine when she uploaded the song on TikTok.

Thus far, SZA has released two singles from her album: “Hit Different” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and “Good Days.” She dropped a video for “Hit Different” as well as a video of an acoustic performance of both singles.

SZA’s “Good Days” is riding high on streaming platforms, currently sitting in the No. 1 spot on Spotify’s U.S. top 50 chart.

Obvs by now she should have an AOTY award as part of her collection and for that and all the other genius artists (Snoop, Bjørn, Nicki, Tupac! etc.) who’ve been denied altogether), the Grammys will forever be somewhat whack!!
