Bronx-native Cardi B drops her first new single of 2021, an energetic trap single titled “Up.” The 28-year-old singer dropped the song alongside of a video directed by Tanu Muino. “Up” is said to be the debut single on her as of yet unnamed sophomore album.
In the video, Cardi (real name Belcalis Almánzar) and her backup dancers work through multiple costume changes as styled by Kollin Carter. Meanwhile choreographer Sean Bankhead filled the video with cute dance moves, no doubt an entreaty to TikTok, a platform that’s become hugely important in helping songs chart.
Hair was styled by Tokyo Stylez with makeup by Erika LaPearl and nails by Marie Nailz.
