French-heritage brand Lacoste as lead by Louise Trotter has linked up with music creative Bruno Mars for a men’s and women’s apparel, footwear and accessory capsule channeling a ’70s-era international Playboy aesthetic.
Named after Mars’ alter ego, Ricky Regal, the collection includes polo shirts, t-shirts, trackpants, slacks, shorts, polo shirts, slides and socks, as well as a pair of aviator sunglasses.
In press about the collaboration, Trotter said, “Collaborating with Bruno and entering into his unique world has been a great adventure, he has a very clear vision and is obsessive with every detail.
“From concept to fittings, there wasn’t a single aspect that he was not fully involved. With Ricky Regal x Lacoste, Bruno has created a luxury sportswear brand that bridges the Lacoste sportswear heritage and his own seductive style.”
Priced from $90 for a t-shirt up to $280 for a patterned zip-up jacket, Lacoste’s Ricky Regal capsule launches on March 5, 2021.
