Nicki Minaj showed some love to BIA (real name Bianca Landrau) by jumping on a remix of “Whole Lotta Money,” a single first released as part of her “For Certain” EP, which dropped in December of 2020. “Whole Lotta Money” is one of BIA’s biggest singles and has racked up close to 50 million spins on Spotify and over 12 million views on YouTube for the song and official video combined.

Prior to the release of the song, Minaj (real name Onika Maraj-Petty) and BIA went on Instagram Live and enjoyed a fun chat about a variety of topics. In a more lighthearted moment, Minaj revealed Drake (real name Aubrey Graham) was texting her about BIA’s good looks.

Clapping back, Minaj stated, “Champagne Papi, stop texting me please and go to your big booty ting. Drake going to text me, talking about BIA fine. Minaj was no doubt referencing Johanna Leia, who was spotted enjoying a private dinner with Drake on the field at Dodgers Stadium, which the Toronto rapper had rented out for the event.

BIA created a stir when she was asked about Nigerian music creatives Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, and responded, “I don’t know what they all look like.” After getting scorched by Nigerian Twitter, BIA followed up on Twitter where she wrote, “I said I don’t know what they all look like doesn’t mean I don’t know their music. I didn’t mean to offend anyone #LOVE.”
