Summer 2021 has marked the return of live concerts including and especially popular hip hop festival Rolling Loud Miami, which took a year off because of the pandemic. While COVID-19 continues to have her say, the sold out event reflect young people’s fatigue with staying indoors and most attendees enjoyed the as always raucous event sans mask.

While (shocker!) there were no women headliners, A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Meyers) claimed top billing on Friday night (July 23, 2021) and as a result we did at least catch glimpses of his beau Robyn Rihanna Fenty, showing support backstage at the event and at multiple concert-related parties.

Women who did perform at Rolling Loud included City Girls, Megan thee Stallion, Erica Banks, Coi Leray, Kali, Armani Caesar, Mulatto, Rico Nasty, Bia, Rubi Rose, Tay Money, Mariah the Scientist and Tia Corine.

July also marked the long-awaited return of new music by r&b singer Normani who surprised her fan base not only with new music but a song and a visual featuring a very pregnant Cardi B.

Speaking of which, Snobette Sounds best new music by women in July includes music by or featuring Bia, Nicki Minaj, Normani, Cardi B, Mariah the Scientist, Tink, Tinashe, Rico Nasty, Angel and Dren, Baby Rose, BJRNCK, Kiana Ledé, Alina Baraz, Syd, Kehlani, Skylar Stecker, Coi Leray, Chel and Shaolinn.
