HBO’s ‘Insecure’ Reveals Promo Video For Fifth And Final Season

A bittersweet moment is upon us. HBO‘s popular “Insecure” series has released the promo for its fifth and final final season. Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, the much-discussed and debated series will kick off its last season on October 24, at 10:00 PM EST. Season five will span 10 episodes, the same count as season four.

Reflecting on the decision to end the series, ” Rae told Variety earlier this year, “I always knew I was going to do these five seasons. Now that it’s coming to an end, and we’re shooting, I have no regrets.”

Scored with a song titled “One More Time” by Eric Bellinger, the teaser video opens with lead character Issa Dee looking at herself in the mirror, a visual pulled from the first season. Copy overlay reads “One more chance for a little reflection,” a statement followed by a montage of videos from over the years showing Issa Dee examining her reflection.

Similar to the series, the character in the trailer gives voice to an internal monologue often at odds with it self. “Oh Issa, you were so simple then,” Issa Dee states and adds, “I just want to be drama free and happy. I keep fronting on everybody like I’m not scared of what’s next for me, but I’m terrified.”

Asking herself, “So what am I supposed to do now?” Issa Dee answers back, “Maybe there’s a little voice in your head telling you that you’re not done.” Lightening the mood, the character barks, “That’s you, you’re the voice in the back of my head!”

The spot closes with “I Am,” by Yung Baby Tate, who is signed to Rae’s label Raedio, an Atlantic Records imprint.

Other than the promo, which only features Rae in the role of Issa Dee, there aren’t many clues about what to expect in the final 10 episodes. Press says to look for the return of Rae (Issa), Yvonne Orji (Molly Carter), Jay Ellis (Lawrence Walker), Natasha Rothwell (Kelli Prenny), Amanda Seales (Tiffany DuBois) and Courtney Taylor (Sequoia).

Issuing a very vanilla take on what to expect, press describes the final season as continuing “to follow our favorite characters as they evaluate their relationships, both new and old, in an effort to figure out who and what comes with them in this next phase of their lives.”

Season four ended with Issa Dee’s future plans with Lawrence Walker upended by news his ex-girlfriend, Condola Hayes (Christina Elmore) is pregnant with his baby. Meanwhile, her former best friend, Molly Carter, and Andrew Tan (Alexander Hodge)’s relationship appears to have hit the end of the road.

For fall winter 2025 KNWLS opted to forego a runwa For fall winter 2025 KNWLS opted to forego a runway show and present their collection in a styled lookbook.

Taking inspiration from a feminine Y2K aesthetic, the collection embodies designers Charlotte Knowles and Alexandre Arsenault’s ability to balance sexy and cool.

In an interview with Vogue, the pair shared that they are currently working on a new design director role in Europe and have several other projects in the pipeline, including another denim project, a collaboration with a jewelry brand, and a menswear capsule for an e-commerce site.

Commenting on the lookbook styling, they shared, "Obviously in the lookbooks it's styled in a quite extreme way, but if you break it down into individual pieces, we've been thinking about merchandising and the customer more than ever before," said Arsenault. "We've seen the team in the studio wearing the pieces differently too, and we've taken that into account. It's a nice challenge to say: 'Okay, we want to make a sweatshirt, but it still has this silhouette or wash or rib detail that makes it feel really Knwls."
