TikToker Goes Viral Sharing Results Of Peter Thomas Roth Under Eye Serum

While many eye creams offer the promise of tightening the skin and diminishing eye puffiness, one cream has proven that and more through the help of one Tiktok user. Trinidad Sandoval, the 54-year-old TikToker, also known as @trinidad1967, shared an unfiltered video of herself with no makeup and walked her viewers through the process of applying Peter Thomas Roth‘ $42 Instant FIRMx Eye Temporary Eye Tightener to her under-eye area.

During the three-minute video, Sandoval explained that her puffy eyes are the result of weight loss surgery. “I am very self-conscious of them,” she shared as she placed the product under her left eye. As Sandoval waited for the eye cream to completely dry, the puffiness all but disappeared, in sharp contrast to her right eye.

In an interview with Glossy, Sandoval shared that she created her account to watch her nephew’s videos. “I got the courage to do my first video four or five days before this happened.” Since sharing the video on August 26, the video has accumulated over 23.8 million views, over four million likes, and almost 113 thousand comments.”

Shortly after the brand began to viral, Sandoval said brand reps reached out and offered to send her free product.

The viral video has not only increased Trinidad’s followers count to over 131,000, but the sales of Peter Thomas Roth’s FIRMX have also skyrocketed. The magic eye cream is currently sold out on Ulta Beauty, Amazon, and Sephora‘s website. The items is still available on Peter Thomas Roth’s online store but is currently backordered.

Commenting on the intense demand, New York-based brand founder and CEO Peter Thomas Roth stated, This is a 10-year-old product. For the last 10 years, I have done so many before-and-afters, and hers is the one that went crazy.” He noted that the volume of FirmX sold in less than a week following the video is the amount that normally sells in six months. The rush for the product was strong enough that the brand was caught short on shipping boxes, ink and insert cards.

While the product receives good reviews for delivering on its promise to temporarily remove under-eye bags, some users have complained it leaves a white residue that can be tricky to conceal.

Peter Thomas Roth doesn’t have a TikTok account and just recently began making use of Instagram Reels. Commenting on Sandoval’s ability to deliver a message, multiple people on social media noted brands would be wise to do more marketing through individuals like Sandoval who actually benefit from the product rather than professional models who look good in photographs but don’t actually need help looking younger.

Reese sparked chatter when she missed her past four games for reasons that remain undisclosed.

When asked about her absence on Nov. 20th, Mulkey said, "You always have to deal with locker room issues. That’s just part of coaching. In 40 years, I can never think of a time where I didn’t have to deal with issues. That’s what coaches do. Sometimes y’all know about it and sometimes you don’t. Sometimes you want to know more than you’re entitled to know."

London-based Nigerian fashion designer Mowalola Og London-based Nigerian fashion designer Mowalola Ogunlesi has provided her first official interview since since presenting her spring 2024 Mowalola collection in London in September. In the exchange with @dazed, Ogunlesi revealed the presentation almost didn't happen because of lack of funding, until Ye aka Kanye West stepped in and covered the cost of the show. The spring 2024 runway stirred controversy because it included a mini skirt adorned with the flag of Saudia Arabia, which features the Shahada, an Islamic oath. Strict observers of the faith descended on the label's social media feeds where they excoriated the designer for printing the the holy oath on clothing, which has been banned by the Saudi Ministry of Commerce for commercial purposes since 2022. Ogunlesi initially brushed off the criticism but then apologized and took down images of the skirt.

Ogunlesi was also asked to address Ye's more controversial views, which include a whole host of antisemetic and bigoted statements. "You don’t have to agree with everyone but he’s also been, apart from my parents and my sister and my community, the only person who’s supported me in this business," she explained. "He’s helped me see my dreams come true, and I appreciate that. If not for him, I would lowkey be dead in the water."

The Central Saint Martins graduate also spoke on the ongoing challenges of keeping a small label funded along with her wish to work for a larger label. Highlighting a lead creative role at Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Givenchy and Vivienne Westwood as goal worthy, Ogunlesi pointed out that the industry might not be ready to hire a Black woman to lead a major label. "I’ve never seen any Black woman at the head of any house, and I keep seeing all these diagrams of the history of fashion houses and it’s all white people.

"It feels like it’s already decided that it isn’t a space for a Black woman, you know? I feel like they’re only just testing out the Black man now. The Black woman doesn’t even cross their minds," she said.
