New York-based eponymous label Brandon Blackwood has revealed its debut runway collection, a video presentation pairing luxe coats with bags and eyewear from the fall 2021 collection. While the coats won’t be a part of the drop, they provide a backdrop for the label’s fall silhouettes, many of which have been updated with cold-weather friendly shearling, Mongolian wool fringe, antelope hide and puffer shells. Upping the glam factor, there’s a tote and a cardholder detailed with a gold bamboo time along with a Mini Kendrick covered in rhinestones.
Commenting on the presentation, Blackwood told Bazaar, “I want everyone to see the direction in which we’re taking the brand. The new outerwear is really an aid in tying the collection together with the eyewear, the small accessories, and the handbags. The coats are the perfect cherry on top to make the whole fantasy come to life.”
Styled by Roberto Johnson, models in the visual included Nissa Puncey, Dominique Babineaux, Roshni Copriz, Yorgelis Marte, Halimotu Shokunbi, Giannina Antonette Oteto, Geordette Cervantes, Amelia Rami, Iman B., Licett Morillo, DaNeyh Douglas, Giannina Antonette Oteto, Aube Jolicoeur and Brittany Tyra Golden.
Brandon Blackwood’s fall collection of bags launches on October 28, at 8:00 PM EST on brandonblackwood.com.
