Alexandre Mattiussi has amassed quite a cult following for his AMI label since its inception in 2011. Now majority-owned by China’s Sequoia Capital, the Paris-based brand who currently operates six stores in France, one in London, four in Japan, and 10 in China, recently opened its first North American location with a SoHo, New York-based boutique. To commemorate its formal entry into the City, AMI tapped streetwear blog Watching New York by photographer John Cirillo, for an editorial featuring stylish New Yorkers styled by John Cordero.
In addition to the editorial, AMI also collaborated with Brooklyn-based artist Kevin Lyons on a capsule collection of sweatshirts and t-shirts to commemorate the new store.
AMI and Kevin Lyons’ capsule collection is now available at the brand’s SoHo store, located at 77 Greene Street in Manhattan.
