Daily Paper Highlights French Olympic Fencer Ysaora Thibus In Daily Series

Amsterdam-based Daily Paper has tapped French Olympic fencer Ysaora Thibus as part of its ongoing Daily Life video series. Born in Guadeloupe, Thibus is a three-time Olympian who started her own platform Essentielle, to center women athletes. The campaign visual was premiered at Soho house France during Paris Fashion Week,

Filmed in Paris, the visual follows Ysaora clad in Daily Paper apparel as she she connects with friends and family and shares her journey. In a noteworthy moment, Thibus states, “For me, as a woman in this environment, what I am trying to do is break codes. If no one tells you you can succeed as a woman, you wouldn’t even dare try. If no one ever tells you or shows you that you belong as a person of color, it becomes even more complicated.”

Scott Sasso, the founder of #10Deep, announced his Scott Sasso, the founder of #10Deep, announced his departure from the streetwear brand he established 28 years ago in 1995. Renowned for pioneering captivating graphics such as the Knuckle Ring Tee, among other iconic designs, the brand achieved success by crafting impactful designs inspired by a fusion of hip hop, NYC skate culture and social consciousness.
 
Announcing the news on X, Sasso wrote, "It is done. What happened to MeccaUSA? What happened to AlphaNumeric? What happened to PNB? What happened to 10.Deep? The particulars of the stories are different, but all had 'partnerships' with the same company, and the results ended up being the same.

"Today my ties to 10.Deep were severed once and for all. Big bank, takes little bank. But with what goal? I'm not sure of the answer to that question is. I think of what I've seen with the other brands that share the a similar history."

Actor Nicole Kidman who attended the runway show was announced as the brand's latest ambassador.

The collection showcased 76 looks, introducing the very chunky 10 XL sneakers. Among the runway stars were Cardi B and the iconic Brigitte Nielsen.
