Off-White by Virgil Abloh has made its official entry into the beauty category with the launch of Paperwork, a unisex beauty line described as “a canvas to inspire endless creativity.” Launching with striking campaign images photographed by Bobby Doherty, the beauty brand extension was created by Abloh before his untimely passing at age 41.
Paperwork’s debut product is a unisex fragrance called Solution, which was designed by perfumer Jérôme Epinette (best known for co-creating Byredo) and includes four scents: Solution No. 1 (wood, sand accord, and patchouli ), Solution No. 2 (tangerine leaves, orange blossom, and vetiver) and Solution No. 3 (spink peppercorn, rose damascena, and ambrette liquid) and Solution No. 4 (eucalyptus and lavender with leather notes).
Reflecting Abloh’s signature industrial aesthetic, the clear glass bottle, is topped with a cap mimicking the wheel-handle used to open and close valves.
Following the Solution fragrances, Paperwork will launch Imprint, described as a collection of face and body crayons along with Color Matter, a collection of nail polishes.
According to press, Imprint and Color Matter “offer an entirely customizable experience that replaces conventional instructions for use with the freedom to express individuality and personality. Introducing a new dimension of beauty as a genderless, inclusive art form at the intersection of humanity and individuality.”
Priced at $185 for a 100 milliliter bottle, Off-White Solutions fragrance is now available at off—white.com and farfetch.com.
