Berlin-based music creative Honey Dijon through her Honey F*cking Dijon label has linked with footwear label Scholl Shoes on a four-inch platform clog and a sandal silhouettes, both of which are offered in black.

Prior to Scholl Shoes, Dijon collaborated with with Comme des Garçons in 2019.

Discussing the effort with WWD, Dijon explained, “The shoe is very personal, actually, and when I saw that they were reintroducing the brand it immediately reminded me of my mom and my childhood. I had this emotional connection to it.”

Further elaborating on the shoe’s audience, she added, “There’s all this conversation now in culture about gender nonconforming people and nonbinary and clothing is for everyone. And I thought it was a really great way for me to reintroduce this iconic shoe to a new generation of kids. It’s such an iconic American shoe that has really stood the test of time, and I thought it would be great to elevate it into the fashion conversation. There’s so much cross-pollination between what is happening now.”

Based in Milan and founded in 1906 by Dr. William Scholl, Scholl Shoes distributes globally except in the United States where the Dr. Scholl brand is positioned differently and is operated by a different company.

Sized from 3.5-12, Scholl and Honey F*cking Dijon’s two silhouettes will launch in October 2022 at Dover Street Market. Additional colors will follow.

In press about the announcement Atmos SVP and GM Patrick Walsh says,"The Atmos brand has a unique and authentic identity, character and spirit. Given the strength of Atmos in Japan and Asia, we are focused on further investing in this market. Though in line with this focus and our plans for simplification, we have made the strategic decision to close our three Atmos stores in North America and our Atmos U.S. website. We are confident that this is the right move for Atmos and will help us continue to work in service of bringing sneaker and street culture to our customers in Asia.”

Today, Kering announced the appointment of Dublin, Today, Kering announced the appointment of Dublin, Ireland-born designer Sean McGirr as the new creative director of Alexander McQueen after the departure of Sarah Burton.

A graduate of London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins fashion school, he embarked on his career as an assistant at Burberry and Vogue Hommes Japan before becoming part of the creative team at Uniqlo. Prior to his tenure at JW Anderson, McGirr served as the womenswear designer at the renowned Belgian fashion brand, Dries Van Noten.

With the appointment of McGuirr Kering no longer has any woman creative director for its fashion brands. The visual on the slide.

A new #Gucci luggage campaign under Sabato de Sarn A new #Gucci luggage campaign under Sabato de Sarno's creative direction starring Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny, was unveiled this weekend.

To give context to the campaign, a portion of the press release reads,"Shot in an airport, the meeting place where journeys begin, the campaign explores the intimacy of traveling together through the creative lens of Anthony Seklaoui. Stills capture the fleeting spirit of Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's airport stroll, redefining the Jet Set glamour of the 1990s."

Does this campaign count as a relationship hard launch?

Sarah Burton presented her last collection as Alex Sarah Burton presented her last collection as Alexander McQueen's creative director during Paris Fashion Week this Saturday. Naomi campbell closed the show in a stunning silver dress!

Burton's tenure as creative director for Alexander McQueen has been remarkable, spanning an impressive 26 years. Her ability to maintain the brand's distinctive blend of beauty and edge is noteworthy.

Burton became creative director in 2010 after the tragic loss of Lee Alexander McQueen. As the only female creative director in Kering's fashion portfolio, her contributions have been significant, and her departure, in our opinion leaves a big gap in a house with a very deep and unique brand dna.

Any thoughts on who will be the next McQueen creative director?
