Solange, Nigo, Yasiin Bey Star In Louis Vuitton ‘Generation V’ Campaign Honoring Virgil Abloh

Solange Knowles for Louis Vuitton | Tyrone Lebon

July 27, 2022. Leave a Comment

Louis Vuitton has debuted “Generation V,” a campaign highlighting Virgil Abloh‘s final collection with the label. Shot by Tyrone Lebon, the campaign features some of Alboh’s collaborative partners including Solange Knowles, Yasiin Bey, Nigo, Kai-Isaiah Jamal and Yusef Dayes.

In a visual accompanying the photographs, Abloh’s voice can be heard delivering one of his many uplifting quotes: “You can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do. The goal is to open up doors for others. The young generation realize that you are what you make yourself to be.”

Responding to the campaign, Solange took to Instagram where she published a text conversation between herself and Abloh just four days before his passing on November 28,2021. In the text he writes about “recalibrating and looking at 2022 like a blank canvas…”

Check out the campaign below and Solange’s Instagram post.
