New Delhi-based designer Kanika Goyal made her second presentation during New York fashion week with her spring 2023 collection. Titled “Starseed,” the collection takes inspiration from spirituality with an emphasis on the cosmic as the name suggests. Staged in an airy loft space in Hudson Yards, where the garments were able to shine, and reveal intricate beading details, embroidery applied to dresses, suits and separates.
In an interview with Vogue India, Goyal sad, “The collection is definitely more sexy than romantic or feminine. For summer, we wanted to explore the idea of being unapologetically comfortable in your own skin, and we did this with revealing details. The collection is for a bold woman who is unafraid to own her power.”
