New York-based label Chrishabana revealed its spring summer collection with a presentation done in partnership with Diageo’s “Fluidity Is Fredom” initiative. Dubbed “Ooze,” the collection was staged at the Reena Spaulding Gallery in New York. A statement on fluidity, offerings blurred the line between ready to wear and art.
Reflecting on the collection designer Chris Habana stated, “I feel very fortunate that during one of the worst economic and cultural times in recent history, our business actually grew incrementally instead of falling to the wayside. We have supported and helped fulfill the creative needs of so many artists, stylists and designers that it’s high time that we show everyone our point of view and express our own aesthetic in its purest and subversive form.”
