Music creatives Robyn Rihanna Fenty and A$AP Rocky turned head at the Golden Globes in Los Angeles where they made quite the entry, arriving in the midst of the announcement for the award for best supporting actor. Making a coordinated statement in black, Rihanna wore a custome haute couture gown by Schiaparrelli featuring a voluminous black bonded velvet stole by designer Daniel Roseberry, while Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) looked dashing in a Bottega Veneta suit.
According to Instagram account @rihannastyleguide, Rihanna was styled by Jahleel Weaver who accessorized her look with a Roger Vivier bag, Guisseppe Zannotti shoes and a blinged out Cartier necklace.
For her hair, Rihanna’s longtime stylist Yusef Williams described the unique updo to Vogue as as “Princess-Leia-meets-Hollywood-meets-Wakanda.” Describing the process behind the somewhat spontaneous look, he added, “At first she was like, ‘Okay, I don’t wanna look like Princess Leia,’ but in the end, we were like, ‘but what’s wrong with Princess Leia; she was fucking fierce.”
