MSCHF Makes Animated Statement With Big Red Boots Drop

Brooklyn-based art collective MSCHF‘s latest project dubbed Big Red Boots appears to pulled straight from a cartoon. Compared to the knee-high red boots worn by Astro Boy as well as Dora the Explorer, the oversized TPU upper and EVA soles lack any branding or detailing except for the grooved sole which is stamped with the MSCHF logo.

“If you kick someone in these boots they go BOING!” MSCHF wrote in a press release. “You never design shoes to be shaped like feet. Big Red Boots are REALLY not shaped like feet, but they are EXTREMELY shaped like boots.”

Priced at $350, MSCHF’s Big Red Boots will launch at 12:00 PM EST on February 16, 2023 on the mschf.com and the brand’s app.
