Queens-born rapper Nicki Minaj, who did double duty as performer and host of the MTV‘s Video Music Awards last night (September 12, 2023) and thrilled the Barbz when she debuted a new rap song titled “Big Difference.” Minaj lead into the new song with a performance of “Last Time I Saw You,” a pop ballad released earlier this month. Both songs are presumed to be included on her upcoming fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2, slated to release on on November 17th.
In the new song, Minaj boasts of her dominance over her competitors, spitting, “I’m on a whole ‘nother level, these bitches is out of they league. These bitches ain’t batting like me. You bitches ain’t badder than me.” In one line, already a fan favorite, Minaj accuses her competitors of lying when they cite any rapper other than her as inspiration: “You said you look up to her, but really you look up to me.”
The 40-year-old music creative also rapped “Itty Bitty Piggy” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” as part of a medley celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip hop that featured Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, Run-DMC, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, and Grand Master Flash.
