Kim Kardashian has gone out front-literally for Skims latest bra, which features a buit-in raised nipple. In a campaign featuring a skit written by comic Michelle Wolf, Kardashian opens the visual with a discussion on the fallout from global warming. Warning of rising temperatures, she adds, “That’s why I’m introducing a brand new bra with a built-in nipple. So no matter how hot it is, you’ll always look cold.”
Like only Skims can, the brand has flipped the scrip on raised nipples, which a lot of women go out of their way to hide, with a bra that creates the look “for a perky, braless look that makes a bold statment.” Dubbed the Ultimate Nipple Bra, the microfiber push-up bra includes a hidden underwire and is designed for a snug fit.
While the bra is described as making sexy statement, Skims social media is filled with people showing appreciation for how the bra will help breast cancer survivors who have lost their nipples to surgery. “As a breast cancer survivor, with a double mastectomy and no nips left, I really really appreciate this!” said a commenter on Skims’ Instagram account.
Making a more serious statement on the premise of the skit, 10% of sales from the Ultimate Nipple Bra will be donated to 1% for the Planet, a global network working together to support people and the planet.
Priced at $62 and available in six colors in cup sizes A-F, the Ultimate Bra will launch at 12:00 PM EST on October 31, 2023 on skims.com.
