Fear of God Athletic‘s first significant launch has finally been revealed by designer Jerry Lorenzo, whose signing with Adidas took place three years ago. Lorenzo rolled out the collection with a lush campaign starring model Quannah ChasingHorse. Footwear isn’t included in the collection but will come later though no definitive launch date has been provided yet.
The 21-piece, men’s and women’s apparel collection mirrors Fear of God’s Essentials line with minimal branded and colors limited to either black or olive. Stretchier items including a catsuit are composed of 64% recycled nylon and 36% recycled elastane interlock, while other items such as a poncho are composed of 93% recycled polyester and 7% elastane.
According to Instagram account @jerry_leaks, pricing for Fear of God Athletics starts at $190 for a high neck cropped t-shirt, $230 for leggings, $245 for fleece sweatpants up to $460 for a goalie jersey and $700 for a car coat.
Reaction to the cost on social media has been largely incredulous with many noting the pricing for Fear of God Athletics pricing is incongruent with Adidas, a brand known for offering higher discounts than its competitors.
The debut Fear of God Athletics collection will be available at 751 South Mission Street in Los Angeles on Nov. 30th through Dec. 3rd from 11:00 AM-6:00 PM. The collection will launch online on Dec 3rd on fearofgod.com.
