Belgian designer Dries Van Noten, renowned for his use of colors, prints, and impeccable tailoring, bids farewell to the label he established in 1986, marking the end of an era in the fashion world.
Van Noten, who is also known as one of the Antwerp six posted a letter on Instagram where he reflects on his career as “a dream come true,” expressing both sadness and happiness as he transitions to new pursuits. Spain-based Puig acquired a majority stake in Dries Van Noten in 2018 while he remained creative director and chairman of the board.
In his letter he shares about the continuation of the brand and writes, “The next Men’s Spring Summer 2025 collection will be the last in my current role at Dries Van Noten. The Women’s Spring Summer 2025 collection will be made by my studio team with whom I have been working very closely during all these years. I have full confidence that they will do a great job.”
Further he add, “In due time, we will announce the designer who will continue the story of the Dries Van Noten Men & Women. However, I will stay involved in the House that I treasure so much.”
