Fila+ under the creative direction of Palace Skateboards founder Lev Tanju is set to release its debut fall collection. Titled “Fall In Love Again,” the collection is inspired by Tanju’s London upbringing while also referencing the brand’s Italian sportswear legacy. The collection is comprised of velour tracksuits, along with elevated classics like polo shirts, a v-neck sweater, a button down shirt and a tie.
In an interview with Highsnobiety, Tanju discussed his vision for the collection, which he vews as remainig true to the brand’s roots while offering an elevated and modern twist. “The first season is really highlighting fabrics and shapes. It’s fun, it’s clean, and it’s focusing on the other way to wear sportswear – for chilling, not performing. That’s what I love about it, it’s hard to find a good tracksuit that doesn’t look like you’ve just finished a 100-meter sprint.”
Tanju also highlighted the inclusion of a Drill boot, a classic children’s shoe from Fila’s archives, updated in adult sizes. The collection also features a touch of formalwear, including dress shirts.
Fila+ by Tanju’s debut collection will be available starting August 28, 2024, at Dover Street Market.
