London-based Studio Halftime, founded by Brooklyn-born soccer goalie and ceramic designer Lev Rosenbush, joins forces with Adidas‘ Confirmed app on a soccer-themed ceramics capsule. Comprised of three bespoke vessels, a chalice, teapot and vase, the collection was influenced by the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi, an art form meant to embrace simplicity, naturalness, and the beauty in imperfection and impermanence as a homage to the understated elegance of tea rooms.
Unveiled in London as part of London Fashion Week with an exhibition titled “Formations,” the effort epitomizes Rosenbush’s combined passion for sport and design.
Rosenbush’s brand merges his passions for sport and design, reimagining the intersection of these worlds through hand-thrown ceramics. The brand draws from global traditions, in particular soccer with an ethos that revolves around the notion of stillness, taking a moment to reflect and reset.
Adidas and Rosenbush’s ceramics exclusively are available on the Confirmed app
