Farfetch-owned Stadium Goods is closing its New York City Howard street store it originally opened in 2015. In an interview with Footwear News, vice president and general manager Michael Daniel explained: “The lease term was coming up and we decided not to renew. Our business is primarily through digital channels, so that’s where Stadium Goods is focusing investment to drive growth. But in the meantime, we’re planning to transform our market center at 412 Broadway so that we can both intake new products from sellers and offer an elevated retail experience in the same space.” The closing date for the 47 Howard street location will be January 19th, 2025.
Founded in 2015 by John McPheters and Jed Stiller, Stadium Goods was acquired by Farfetch Ltd. in 2018 for $250 million.
