California-based Alo Yoga has steppted into the high-end accessory space with the introduction of Italian-made leather bags. Priced from $1,200-$3,600, the launch features three silhouettes.
Commenting on the launch, Alo co-founder and CEO Danny Harris, told Vogue, “It’s the perfect progression for Alo to be able to move into this category. Health is wealth. Health is luxury wellness, mindfulness, mental wellness . This is the future. Our community, our culture, is not necessarily going out to clubs and drinking. We’re not hanging out at the café sipping a martini and carrying a handbag, We’re at a Pilates studio, or we’re setting an intention in our yoga class and focusing on our health and wellness — and carrying a handbag.”
The bags will be available for pre-order on September 9th along with the campaign launch, followed by a pick up on September 22nd at 23 retail locations including Alo’s stores in Beverly Hills, SoHo, Aspen and London’s Regent Street location. Online orders will be made available through a concierge style experience.
