French water brand Évian has revealed its first reusable glass water bottle, designed by Virgil Abloh, who has a role with the brand as an adviser for sustainable innovation design.
Debuted during New York Fashion Week, the limited-edition 17-ounce glass bottle was made in collaboration with SOMA, known for making sustainable water containers. It features a bamboo lid and a white, protective silicone sleeve with Évian branding as well as a reference to Abloh with full-cap, quotation-enclosed typography reading “RAINBOW INSIDE,” written vertically. The quote reflects the tagline for the effort: “one drop can make a rainbow,” a statement on conserving water.
The bottle will be offered in pink, purple, light blue and dark blue. Typically a SOMA glass bottle is priced at $30, though Évian hasn’t announced pricing for this limited edition item.
Timing hasn’t been provided for the bottles, but according to Évian will “soon” be available on matchesfashion.com soon.
